This year Annecy International Animated Festival was delighted to welcome Tim Burton as a special guest. He answered questions after an exceptional screening of Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride", on Saturday 10 June at the Bonlieu Theatre.
Tim Burton was predestined for a career in film: born in Burbank, the same town as Disney studios, he quickly had the opportunity to work at the firm. Being totally out of sync with the Disney style, he soon left to become a unique filmmaker and an artist gifted with an unconvential vision.
Delivering us two films in 2005 ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride"), Tim Burton well demonstrates his own universe in the world of film, bringing animation and life action together in a wonderful universe of make-believe. Tim Burton accepted an honorary award during the closing ceremony in Annecy 2006. |
