| MIPCOM 2005 attracted a total of 11,704 delegates, a 7% increase in comparison to 2004. This figure was surpassed only once before in the history of the market, when 11,786 professionals attended back in 2000. The market also hit a new record in terms of participating companies as 3,896 from 91 different countries attended the market, an 11% increase when compared to 3,522 companies from the previous year. In addition, the recent MIPCOM welcomed 3,504 acquisition heads in comparison to 3,268 in 2004 and the number of buyers present in Cannes posted a rise of 7%.
