Can you name your products that you had on air in 2005 in Eastern Europe ?
RTL 2 Program Sales operates globally. Certainly we also have some of our products at Television broadcasting stations in Eastern Europe. First of all at RTL Televizija Croatia which has shown our ANNUAL REVIEW and furthermore lots of our FUNNY HOME VIDEO CLIPS on air in their success show SALTO. Secondly we have many funny Home video clips on air at TV Nova in the Czech Republic. Since 2005 the funny clip library is also becoming a hit in the Federal Republic of Russia, licensed to REN TV, and in Czech Republic, licensed to TV Nova.
Moreover Latvian Independent TV (LNT) has broadcasted two of our most successful docusoaps called WIFE EXCHANGE, which has already gained cult status among the various reality-soaps in Germany, and the SUPERMAMAS.
We can identify an increasing amount of requests concerning RTL 2 products in these East European countries.
Do you have products on air in Eastern European countries in 2006?
In 2006 RTL Televizija Croatia broadcasts our format WORLD OF WONDER, a science show which right now starts its success story on a European level and that is a remarkable success in its timeslot. Furthermore RTL Televizija Croatia prolonged the funny clip tradition. At the moment there are several requests e.g. for our show THE AUTO-MEDICS from Eastern European countries. We are confident of having more products on air in Eastern Europe in the near future.
What Eastern European countries are important for your business?
For RTL 2 Program Sales several countries in Eastern Europe are or rather can become very important soon. Above all "RTL-countries"as for example Hungary, Russia and Croatia are of particular importance. But also countries like the Ukraine, Poland will be of interest for us in the near future.

RTL 2 is broadcasting its programs since 1993 and together with its advertising sales company El Cartel Media it has a highly motivated, professional team of more than 150 staff members. It is one of Germany 's most innovative broadcasters and a source of unconventional ideas and new kinds of programmes. RTL 2 intends to further strengthen and expand its competence in the categories entertainment, feature films/series, information and kids' programmes. Priority is given to always ensuring the utmost in product and programme quality. Considered to be THE trend-setter among German broadcasters, RTL 2 has been repeatedly successful in establishing innovative formats. RTL 2 has achieved success through its series, reality-soaps, knowledge shows, feature films and kids programmes. Recently RTL 2 received the popular CIVIS-Award for its impressive documentary LIVING AS A MUSLIM FOR 30 DAYS (from the RTL 2 series THE EXPERIMENT - 30 DAYS). Therewith RTL 2 has demonstrated its courage in establishing an unusual TV documentation series. In 2006 in particular, RTL 2 will be focusing on entertainment programme formats for young adults and families further on. |
