What are the coming trends in prime time programming in Eastern Europe ?
That is a good question, as it's changing all the time. I think Telenovelas will continue in prime time along locally produced Reality and Game shows and scripted programs. However, there will always be a need for solid Documentaries and Factual programs. Buyers are always looking for programming that they can pair with their local programs. Our crime series, "The FBI Files" and "The New Detectives" along with our Disaster series "Critical Rescue" are doing well across Eastern Europe.
Can you name your products that you broadcast in Eastern Europe during 2005?
We produce a lot of programming with Discovery Communications, therefore our most of our series air in Eastern Europe, such as "The FBI Files" and "The New Detectives" also known as "Forensic Detectives", "Special Forces", "Navy Seals: Untold Stories", "Critical Rescue".
Do you have products in production or that are currently aired in Eastern European countries in 2006?
Our newest series "A Haunting" (Docu-drama 26 x 60 min) just started airing on the Discovery Channel and we are in production of Season III of this huge hit! This series combines mystery, paranormal and interviews from the people that lived through them. I have received offers from the Ukraine, Russia and Romania, just to name a few.
What Eastern European countries are important for your business?
ussia, Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, the Ukraine, Slovakia. Really all of Eastern European countries are important to us. |
