Russian TV Series - On an International Level
The company was founded in 1998. RWS is one of the few companies owning equipment, sound and film editing studios, sound stages and other resources required for the production of film and television programs. RWS is one of the very few Russian companies that are able to provide both pre-production and post-production. A highly experienced staff of professionals is working on the international projects of the studio. All projects are produced on soundstages and with the equipment that belongs to the company. A unique synthesis of the work from all the departments of RWS has made it possible to create TV series that have received nominations at leading television festivals.
"Zona" ("The Jail") is an unprecedented TV series on Russian television that was created by RWS. Indeed, "Zona" opens a shocking, and at the same time, attractive as all forbidden, a cruel surroundings of the jail with its rules, enormous hierarchy, mysterious murders and horrible folklore. One of the biggest factories in Moscow was re-constructed to match the interiors of the jail for the shooting of this series. During the 46 th Monte-Carlo Television Festival, "Zona" received 4 nominations - probably the subject of "Zone" and shocking details did not leave the hearts of the Festival's Jury indifferent.
"Avtonomka" ("The Sub") and "Medical Secrecy" are new premiere TV series on Russian TV channels in 2006.
"Avtonomka" is devoted to the 100 years of the Russian Navy. The main characters of this 100-episodes saga are Russian people, members of the crew of the submarine. This is a story of human courage, feeling of duty and responsibilities. This is the story of those for whom love to Russia is the only choice, wiliness of the heart and life.
"Medical Secrecy" is a story about doctors and patients. People of different ages and social statuses receive medical treatments, communicate and suffer, within the walls of the hospital. The story takes place today, and the hospital itself represents a look on modern life where there is a place for human mercy, justice, professional deed.crime, corruption, and carelessness. 200 episodes about life in all its expressions.
