Endemol lines up blockbuster gameshow slate

Endemol International unveiled its largest ever portfolio of gameshows for NATPE. The line up incorporates some of the world's most successful formats in this genre. These include "1 vs. 100" which has just been recommissioned in the UK (BBC ONE) and recently had its run extended in the USA (NBC). The format has now been sold to 25 countries worldwide. Endemol's newest international gameshow formats "Set for Life" and "Show Me the Money" will also form part of the line up for NAPTE. The US version of "Show Me the Money", fronted by William Shatner, has just been recommissioned for a second run in 2007 following its prime time success on ABC. "Set For Life" has been picked up by ITV in the UK and ABC in the USA, where it will be hosted by late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. A significant number of other territories are expected to be announced soon.
International blockbuster "Deal or No Deal" is another big hitter that will be showcased at the market. The format has so far been sold to over 45 countries worldwide and continues to pull in record audiences for both NBC in the USA and Channel 4 in the UK. "In the Grid" will feature in Endemol's market portfolio for the first time at NATPE. The show is currently enjoying a successful first run in the UK where it is broadcast in an early peak slot on Five.
Also set for this year's market are gameshow formats "Go!" and "Last Passenger", both of which have become big hits in Argentina on The America Channel and Telefe respectively. "Last Passenger" is also pulling in big audiences for TVN in Chile. In addition to its gameshow line up Endemol will also be showcasing new hybrid reality / talk show concepts, "Diet Club" and "Lonely Hearts Club", both big hits for Canal 13 in Argentina. |
