NBC Universal - American Hits Conquest the World!

The Starter Wife

Great storytelling, attractive characters, genius actors. American drama series gain a stronger foothold in prime-time slots in the US and ousting traditional local television drama series from prime-time schedulers. It's difficult to find a country where American hits are not watched by millions of viewers. NBC Universal International Television Distribution has many TV Series that became important brands to many television networks. Many of these series successfully performed in the US and continue to gain wide audiences in many European countries.

Created by Academy Award® winners Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco ("Million Dollar Baby," "Crash"), "The Black Donnellys" tells the story of the Donnelly brothers: Tommy (the smart one), Jimmy (the hot-headed one), Kevin (the unlucky one), and Sean (the pretty one). There is nothing these four Irish brothers wouldn't do to protect each other. And when you live in one of New York 's toughest neighborhoods, that often includes lying, cheating, stealing, and even killing. Narrated by wannabe gangster Joey "Ice Cream," this sometimes gritty, sometimes mischievous series bears witness to the Donnelly brothers' sudden involvement in organized crime, focusing on how they go from boys to mobsters, and exploring how this transformation affects their relationships with friends, lovers, and, of course, family.

The 2006 season highlights "Heroes" and "Friday Night Lights" ranked in the TOP 10 prime-time television programs in the US.

Created by Tim Kring and NBC Universal Studio, "Heroes" has shown brilliant ratings from the beginning of the performance on NBC. This is a story about people who are born to be extraordinary. They thought they were like everyone else.until they awoke with extraordinary abilities. In Japan, a lowly office worker can teleport at will. In New York, a struggling artist can paint the future. In Los Angeles, a discontented beat cop can hear the thoughts of others. "Heroes" chronicles the lives of these people, and the lives of others like them - whose destiny just might be the saving of humankind.but first they must come to grips with their newfound powers. This original, edge-of-your-seat thriller will make you wonder if there really are heroes among us.

"Friday Night Lights" focuses on the high school football program in the small town of Dillon, Texas. This year, the Dillon Panthers are expected to go all the way. That's a lot of pressure for Eric Taylor in his first year as coach. Nevertheless, he's ready and willing to mold these boys into champions and encourage them to be better men. Brought to you by Peter Berg and Brian Grazer, this family drama is all about achievement, heartache, friendship and tough love.

Michael Raines, an eccentric but brilliant cop, solves murders in a very unusual way in "Raines". He turns the victims into his partners. These visions are figments of Raines's imagination, and he knows it, but when he can't make the dead disappear, he works with them to find the killer. He talks to them. He profiles them. And he's only free of them when the case is closed. Other detectives question Raines's sanity. So does he, but he is unable to stop the visions from coming, and a small part of him is glad he can't. That's because there is one recurring hallucination he can't live without.

Show business is funny business in "30 Rock". Welcome to the set of The Girlie Show, a fictional television show that serves as the backdrop to Tina Fey's new workplace comedy.where the laughs are just as big backstage as they are onstage. Liz Lemon, The Girlie Show's head writer, is being taken to the edge of reason by the show's two stars. One has self-image problems. The other has mental problems. In order for Liz to keep her job, she must keep the talent happy and appease the brash new network president. It won't be easy. This is a bold, star-studded comedy where anything can happen and it often does.

"Andy Barker, P.I." is a story of Andy Barker, CPA, who has never failed at anything - that is until his new accounting business doesn't take off as planned. When he's mistaken for the private detective who used to occupy his office, Andy embraces this twist of fate and takes the case. Thus begins his journey back and forth from Andy Barker, CPA to Andy Barker, P.I. Whether chiding criminals headquartered in a warehouse for "renting instead of buying," or briefing an accounting client about municipal bonds while driving backwards down an alley pursued by Sri Lankan gangsters, Andy will always be a problem solver and a numbers cruncher.

Based on the bestselling novel by Gigi Levengie Grazer, a sexy, savvy, and savagely funny television event, "The Starter Wife" is a saga of one woman's rise, fall, and rebirth, as seen through the filter of the Los Angeles social scene. Emmy award-winner Debra Messing stars as the bored and pampered wife of a Hollywood studio executive who is dumped just weeks before her pre-nup was set to expire (and just as age has begun to take its toll)! Abandoned by the Hollywood community that once adored her, she now must look beyond the confines of her isolated life and find in the real world around her all new possibilities she never saw before.

A light-hearted drama, "Psych" stars James Roday as Shawn Spencer, a young police consultant who solves crimes with powers of observation so acute the precinct detectives think he's psychic. Also starring Dule Hill as Shawn's best friend and reluctant sidekick Gus, and Corbin Bernsen as Shawn's disapproving father, who ironically was the one who honed his son's "observation" skills as a child.

In " Eureka ", for years, the government has been relocating the world's geniuses (and their families) to the bucolic Pacific Northwest town of Eureka, where daily life straddles the line between unprecedented innovation and total chaos. U.S. Marshal Jack Carter finds this out first hand when he wrecks his car. After the town's eccentric inhabitants unleash a scientific creation still unknown to the outside world, Carter steps in to restore order and consequently is let in on one of our country's best-kept secrets.

"Paris Enquêtes Criminelles" is French adaptation of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent". It features an all European cast and stars internationally acclaimed actor Vincent Perez. "Paris Enquêtes Criminelles" is adapted from the original U.S. scripts, taking into account the French language, culture and the Napoleonic Code.
