Venevision International Presents "Tropic", "I Need A Friend" and other Successful Telenovelas

Venevision International offers a wide variety of successful telenovelas at MIPTV 2007 in Cannes, reinforcing its position as one of the leading companies of the genre, with productions that are broadcasted successfully in the Americas, Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, Russia and Africa. In this opportunity the telenovelas that will be offered in this important market will be "Tropic" ("Tropico"), starred by Scarlet Ortiz, Víctor González and Jose Luis Rodriguez "El Puma", the popular singer/actor that reappears before the cameras in this production. "Tropico" is set on the beautiful beaches of the Dominican Republic, with a casting of high quality, and combines the rich tradition of the tobacco plantations with beauty pageants, in search of the perfect Caribbean woman. A history of love in paradise, full of passion, romance and intrigue. Other telenovelas offered are "Trapped" ("Acorralada") with Alejandra Lascano and David Zepeda in a powerful history of love and revenge; "My Cinderella" with the popular actress Daniela Alvarado and with Jonathan Montenegro, who dramatize an updated vision of love in present times and finally "You Are My Life" with the popular and beautiful Scarlet Ortiz and Jorge Aravena, a production done in the city of Miami, in spectacular settings that frame the action and the intrigues of the story.

Special mention deserves the successful and innovating series "I Need a Friend" with the moderators Fabiola Colmenares and Alejandra Maldonado. This series presents a combination of "talk show" and telenovelas where two hostesses with opposite opinions judge real dramas. "I Need a Friend" has been a success in the United States and several Latin American countries.
