Poland What are your acquisition strategies?
Channel 3 of Telewizja Polska S.A. is in advanced stage of development to be specialized for latest news and current affairs channel in Poland. Markets, screenings and film festivals are the best way to meet producers, distributors from all around the world and to find new titles. All our acquisition is targeted on adult audience. Acquisition strategies are related to new profile of our new channel.

What programs are you looking for?
We are looking for new documentaries in the following categories: current affairs, political and social issues as well as special news reports. We would like to acquire films where the camera roams the contemporary world and international problems. We focus on ambitious, awarded at Film Festivals and high quality programs.
What foreign programs did you buy this year?
This year we've bought documentaries, among others: "Years after 9/11", "Bridge of No Gun Ro, the", "Departure of Oil" (Deutsche Welle); "Hell in Baghdad", "Israel/Lebanon Au Coeur De la Guerre", "Memoires D'otages" (Tony Comiti Productions); "Kindness of Strangers, "Is it safe to eat ?" (Beyond Distribution); "2013 - Oil no more" (Tele Images); "Revolutions", "Political Assassinations" (ICTV Solferino); "Design E2", "China the Enigma" (Against Gravity); "Excentrixx"; "San Paolo Kidnapping" (Upside TV); "Banin, Polls hit the Headlines", "Frontiers" (CNDP-Screen); "Does anybody has a Plan?", "Watermarks" (Cinephil Distribution).
What national programs did you buy this year?
For polish programs, we have special series presenting old documentaries, very important for polish history and politics, which have been censored, prohibited in the past, often forgotten at the end and left on television' s shelves for ages. Some of them we have to buy from producers and polish distributors.
What are your acquisition plans?
We are always in search of new titles, the best products of markets. We hope that new face of Channel 3 will be relevant, interesting for Polish Audience and the standard of programs will be very high.
