What are your acquisition strategies?
The acquisition strategy of ORF`s Family &Entertainment Dept.TV is that we are mainly looking for fresh formats, which are suitable for primetime, but also finished programs, targeted on young audience (e.g. comedies).

What programs are you looking for?
For this MIPCOM, I will mainly be looking for fresh formats for studio based shows (primarily targeted on younger audiences), but also finished programs - comedies or docu-soaps (not really fictional programs) for 20-35 years old for an ORF 1-timeslot around 11 p.m.
What foreign programs did you buy this year?
Formats: "Worst Driver" from TV Corporation/Mentorn, and "Strictly come dancing" from BBC Worldwide (we already did the third series!). Finished Programs: "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" from AETN, "Rock School/1st series" from RDF
What national programs did you buy this year?
We didn't really buy formats or finished programs from Austrian companies, but we do many co-productions with them and they also produce finished programs on our order.
What are you acquisition plans?
My acquisition plans are to find the next big hit - let' s keep our fingers crossed! |
