beActive blogs on with "Flatmates" and "Young CSI"

beActive's latest multiplatform production "Flatmates" (aka "T2para3") has already conquered the Portuguese Internet community, following the success pattern of the hit cross-media series "Sofia's Diary". Targeted at 18-25 year old audiences, "Flatmates" is an online drama series featuring three young college students - Emily (18), Chloe (19) and Daniel (20) - who are discovering the upsides and downsides of sharing an apartment. What initially seems to be "the perfect place", starts revealing its flaws: sharing with different personalities, boyfriends, girlfriends, parties, money problems, long morning waits for the bathroom and getting on each other's nerves!

For this production, beActive partnered with SAPO (www.sapo.pt), Portugal's leading web portal, owned by Portugal Telecom, as part of SAPO's strategy of investing in online entertainment. Daily 3-minute episodes are available on the Internet (www.t2para3.sapo.pt), on mobile TV and Portugal Telecom's MEO IPTV service. Additionally, fans can interact with the series by sending e-mails or posting comments and suggestions on the official "Flatmates" web site and on the characters'personal blogs. In its first month of release, the series attracted more than 50.000 views per day, which includes videos, blogs and associated social networking profiles and is currently #1 on Portuguese mobile TV. The producers are also in talks with local broadcasters to create a TV series based on the online property.

Along with "Flatmates", beActive is pitching the game show concept of "Young CSI", a dynamic, interactive and educational experience for young investigators. Setting in the world of crime scene investigation, the show mixes TV, Internet and mobile phones with high-tech gadgets and forensic investigation techniques. In each episode, two teams compete against each other to be the fastest and smartest in solving the crimes presented by the host of the show.
