Austria What are your acquisitions strategies?
My acquisition strategy is to stay in contact with a lot of people from different companies and other broadcasters, in order to share experiences and thoughts, to keep myself informed by reading a lot of TV news, and by keeping my eyes and ears open all the time - and to be quick!

Dancing Stars
What products are you looking for?
I am mainly looking for formats (all kinds of entertainment), but also finished programs (queer sketch comedies, concerts with the "big names"). Regarding formats for me the originality is essential - I don't have any interest in acquiring a copycat. Formats and finished programs may be of any origin - the country does not make any difference. Regarding sketch comedies - we use to subtitle, so we don't necessarily look only for German versions.
What were your key acquisition deals in 2007?
Our key acquisition deals in 2007 were tBBC Worldwide's format "Strictly come dancing", which in Austria is called "Dancing Stars" (3rd series, in the moment we are having the 4th!), TV Corporation/Mentorn's format "Worst Driver" and among the finished programs: AETN's "Gene Simmons'Family Jewels" and rdf's "Rock School".
What are your acquisition plans?
My plans for MIPTV are to meet a lot of people and to keep my eyes and ears open all the time. And I'm looking forward to find a lot of great formats and programs which are perfect for my needs!
