What are your acquisition strategies?
Our strategy was to acquire distinctive and premium content that will provide a different viewing experience for our young & progressive audience. We are more daring than most channels, and hence, we went for content that would traditionally be turned down by other stations due to its controversy (e.g. Fahrenheit 9/11).

What products are you looking for?
We are mainly looking for movies and dramatic work be it series or sitcoms. We are also interested in acquiring reality programming and lifestyle programming that is new and distinctive to the region in addition to music concerts and performances. We are looking mainly for English and Arabic programming, but we are also interested in award-winning foreign films and documentaries.
What were your key acquisition deals in 2007?
MTV 2007 Movie Awards (Exclusive on free to air), "Fahrenheit 9/11" which didn't get to be released on other TV stations due to its subject matter (Exclusive Free to air), "How to Find a Husband" (BBC), blockbuster and award winning movies, series, and sitcoms from the major studios.
What are your plans for MIPTV?
Aiming to build on our strategy that worked for us last year, and get a more edgy and sophisticated content that will be a point of difference in the region.
