What are your acquisition strategies?
As we are a public broadcast channel, we would like to show various interesting and culturally relevant programs for the Hungarian viewers of all age groups. We must find the best quality because the competition is very high. We broadcast daily and primetime series, big movies and a good selection of European art films, and we must think for children too. We have good relationship with public channels like BBC, RAI, ZDF, TVE and others.
What products are you looking for?
We are interested in all genres, that mean feature films, documentaries, series, and children programs. We have a special interest for European products, but we buy programs from all over the world.
What were your key acquisition deals in 2007?
In 2007, we acquired a package from the MGM and Walt Disney Productions, but also from companies like Telepool, Mediatoon, Sogepaq
What are your plans for MIPTV?
For MIPTV, we are looking for new short and long running series, and quality TV-movies for the primetime slot. Of course, we would like to consolidate the good relationship between the licensors and Hungarian Television. |
