What are your acquisition strategies?
As Acquisitions Manager, I look for high quality non-fiction television programs, series and documentary films to be sold worldwide.
What products are you looking for?
We represent all genres of non-fiction programming...from cooking and travel to hard-hitting social issue and current affairs docs.
What were your key acquisition deals in 2007?
In 2007, we acquired 13 travel and lifestyle series from a producer in the UK (Global Television) as well as the documentaries "Point of Origin", "Visioning Tibet", "The Elephant Man", "From Budapest to Bamako", "The Enemy Within", "Lost and Found in Mexico", "Welcome to Wonderland", "Companions to None", "Swept Away", and series "The Saharan Series", "Journey to Burma", "People & Places of the Word & Voiceless Art". This year so far, we have acquired the docs "Try Revolution", "Sanctuary", "Daughters of Freedom", "The Road To El Dorado", "The Blue Line" and the series "Let's Go Fishing".
What are your plans for MIPTV?
My schedule at MIPTV is booked with meetings with producers from around the world. Hopefully, we will find some completed projects, projects in development that we may add to our 2008 sales catalogue. We are also meeting with producers to discuss possible co-productions. |
