What are your acquisition strategies?
TVP INFO is newly launched channel in Telewizja Polska. During the past few months, we have built up a modern and dynamic schedule, which places emphasis on the latest news and programs concerning political, social and business subjects. All our acquisitions are targeted for adult audiences. Acquisition strategies are related to the new profile. We're interested mainly in current affairs programs.
What products are you looking for?
We're looking for new documentaries in the following categories: current affairs, political and social issues as well as special news reports. We'd like to acquire films where the camera roams the contemporary world and international problems. We focus on ambitious, awarded at Film Festivals and high quality programs.
What were your key acquisition deals in 2007?
We've already started again our acquisition and we've bought among others: "No End In Sight" (Dir: Charles Ferguson); "The Dictator Hunter" (Dir: Klaartje Quirijns); "Storm Of Emotions" (Dir: Yael Klopmann); "Frontline Journalists: Death and Danger in Afganistan" (Dir: Bill Gentile); "Afganistan's Opium Trail" (Dir: Mehran Bozorgnia); "Cuba - After The Revolution" (Dir: Yorgos Avgeropoulos); "Cocalero" (Dir: Alejandro Landes); "Reserved To Fight" (Dir: Chantelle Squires).
What are your plans for MIPTV?
We are always in search of new titles, the best and the latest products of markets. We hope that TVP INFO will be relevant, interesting for the audience and the standard of programs will be very high.
