What are your acquisition strategies?
We are looking to develop long standing relationships with great producers who are dedicated to bringing fantastic programming to the international marketplace.
What products are you looking for?
Our catalogue includes features, series, factual, reality, lifestyle; children's, mini-series, MOWs etc. and we are always looking for new titles to compliment the existing catalogue. Our current focuses are one hour drama series, thrillers, reality, kids and lifestyle. While English language programming is a natural fit we will absolutely review all submissions from any country.
What were your key acquisition deals in 2007?
We've acquired world wide rights for "Regenesis" season 4 (crime drama, 13 x 1 hour – for a total of 52 episodes in 4 seasons), "Would Be Kings" (mini-series, thriller 2 x 30 minutes), "Celine" (film, 1 x 90minutes), "Kenny vs Spenny" season 4 (reality comedy, 10 x 30minutes – for a total of 62 episodes in 4 seasons) which is being broadcast on Showcase and on Comedy Central in the USA, "G-Spot" (comedy, 24 x 30 minutes), "Da Kink In My Hair" (comedy, 13 x 30minutes), "Show Me Yours" (comedy, 16 x 30 minutes), "Exploration" season 2 (travel adventure, 22 x 30 minutes), "Very Bad Men" season 2 (reality crime, 7 x 60minutes) and "One Shot" (biography, 39 x 30 minutes).
What are your plans for MIPTV?
With a newly redesigned and expanded booth space, a new slate of feature docs and bold new ad campaigns, Oasis is going to be a bigger stronger presence at this market and, with an international sales team of four; we'll ensure that all of our programs get seen by the appropriate buyers in all territories.
