What are your acquisition strategies?
We ' re on the lookout for factual content, which enhances Channel NewsAsia ' s " Asian specialist " branding and appeals to our target audience i.e. the PMEB viewers (Professionals, Managers, Executives and Businessmen). Such content can be in the form of documentaries, lifestyle magazine shows or even vignettes.
What products are you looking for? From which countries are you interested in buying products?
We are looking for top quality 1-hour long documentaries of varied genres, (e.g. history, science & technology, health, current affairs etc) for our successful " Documentary of the Week " slot, which airs every Sunday primetime. Weekend luxury series, be it in the form of high-end travel, dining or luxury living/lifestyle in general.
Business series featuring international business leaders, their management styles and philosophies and/or biographies of big multi-national corporations, their origins and road to success etc. Ideally, such series should include Asian profiles as well. We ' re open to considering one-offs as well as we can piece the one-offs together and strand them under a theme.
What are your key deals in 2008?
BBC ' s " The Truth About Food ", Fremantle Media ' s " Iconoclasts ", World Wide Entertainment ' s " Desire " and " Explore " luxury living series, " Sunset+Vine "' s F1 race prelude highlight series, " Inside Grand Prix 2008 ", WGBH International ' s biographies on the 2 US Presidential candidates, " The Choice 2008 ".
