World Content Market: Start your Business Season in Europe, Face-to-Face

World Content Market: Start your Business Season in Europe, Face-to-Face!

The World Content Market is the first television market of the year in Europe, and you will have an excellent opportunity to meet people from every corner of the world, in the relaxed atmosphere of a hotel-based event.

Elena Sunbeam created the model of the market in March 2007. Located in the very heart of Europe, a birthplace of Oscar-winning film directors, a cradle of many television productions and Hollywood motion pictures, Prague was chosen as an ideal city for the new market. The choice of the city was approved by many audiovisual business professionals around the globe!

Chinese Buyers on World Content Market

The debut market was successfully organized from February 25-27, 2008 in Prague.

The program of the event provides a one-stop platform for buying and selling activities, and centers around pre-arranged meeting schedules.

In 2009, the World Content Market was organized for the second time.

The event took place from February 18-20, 2009.

The exhibitors' booths were located in hotel rooms on two floors of the Movenpick Hotel. Another floor, Market Screenings included screenings areas with the screening library of 1171 products of all genres: feature films, series, miniseries, documentaries, animation, formats, light entertainment, life style, educational programs, music, archives, sport, etc… Buyers had the opportunity to pre-screen materials prior to a meeting.

Buyers could find information about products in Market Publications. The 300 pages Market Guide 2009 contained information about the participants (sellers and buyers) and products submitted to Market Screenings. Market Preview 2009 contained analytical information about the market, interviews with buyers and sellers coming to the market, and news about participants.

More than 30% of the content being sold was documentary, making this the most popular genre among buyers and sellers. Animation was next at 21% followed by feature films at 17%.

The organization of exhibitors meetings was assisted by the marketing team. They participated directly in the organization of meetings for exhibitors, by connecting buyers with exhibitors' schedules and arranging appointments.

In total, the market hosted 708 participants from 373 companies from 54 countries (including 523 acquisition executives from 252 companies from 50 countries)!

The intimate atmosphere provided a unique access to buyers and with the help of market team handling the screenings library, arranging meetings for buyers and facilitating technical support, this market was a big success for all participants.

The World Content Market 3 rd edition will be organized from February 22-24, 2010.

Are you interested in meeting your partners and prospects from every corner of the globe, at the beginning of the year, and in one of the most beautiful European cities?

Come to the World Content Market 2010, and you will benefit from high standards of service, professionalism and a client-oriented approach!

Every country is welcome!
