Italian TV Products: From scripted formats to ready made shows

Recently Mediaset Distribution has added the distribution of fiction formats. In past years, local fiction production has increased considerably in almost every country, so we ' re very enthusiastic about the sales of our formats and see them produced and adapted by producers around the world.

In this period of recession, television channels have a lower advertising income and therefore less budget for production. For this reason, Mediaset Distribution's offer is focusing on formats that request a low budget, although we have alternatives for all budgets.  

At MIPTV Mediaset Distribution will add new titles to its growing scripted formats catalogue: "Alone At Last" (Sitcoms 20x24 ' - 5 Seasons), "Mr. Mom" (Sitcoms 20x30 ' - 2 Seasons), "Highschool Days" (Family Series 12x50 '), "White Crimes" (Medical Investigation Series 12x50 '), "Red Code" (Action Series – 12x50 '), "Women's Duty" (Police Series – 24x50 ' - 8 Seasons), "The Mall" (Soap 230x30 ' – 7 Seasons).

In addition to scripted formats, Mediaset will be showcasing new ready-made contents:

"White Crimes" (Medical Investigation Series 12x50 ') - Negligent doctors will not go unpunished with this team. A non-profit association, which helps all those (patients, relatives, and doctors), who have suffered an injury or injustice due to the inefficiency of the health service - and who often do not know were to turn to enforce their rights or simply to obtain explanations.

"Stripper Nanny" (Comedy Series 12x50 ') - Would you leave your kids with this mysterious and glamorous nanny? Anna, a.k.a. Nina Monamour, is the star of the "Chicago", a local nightclub where she performs every night as a stripper. After years of hard work, she decides to buy out the club together with her fiancé and manager Tony. To make her dream come true Anna must also find a daytime job and thus becomes a stay-at-home baby sitter in a handsome businessman's home.

"Great Anatomy" (Sitcom 20x24 ') - Laughter is the best medicine in this crazy hospital. There's a private clinic where three friends work: Enzo, the diagnostic surgeon, Gianni, the head physician, and Francesco, the anesthetist. They go back a long way and are tied by a joyful and playful comradeship.

"Last Godfather" (Biographical Miniseries 2x100 ') - The fascinating true story of a manhunt that lasted forty years. After the arrest of the biggest Boss, Tot? Riina, control of the mafia is now in the hands of Bernardo Provenzano, the man who, together with Riina, climbed to the top of the sicilian mafia.. Provenzano is a ghost and in order to discover his hideout, the Police decide to create a task force of twenty-five men whose sole objective is to bring an end to the longest concealment in the history of crime.

"The Blood and the Rose" (Costume Miniseries 4x100 ') - Isabella, Rocco and Giulio form a triangle of friendship and love intended to unravel over time even when their paths seem to part.  The three of them - all in flight or in search of their own destiny - will gather together in 19 th century Rome, stubborn and rebellious, to share experiences, adventures, dangers and mysteries.

"The Tunnel to Freedom" (Drama Miniseries 2x100 ') - The true story of two youngsters who, armed only with courage and imagination, started digging a tunnel under the Berlin Wall in 1961. A tunnel seems like a crazy idea, but soon a group of young people unite to carry out this task. Exhausting physical work, spies from the secret services, adversity of all sorts must be endured in order to reach the goal.

"4 Single Fathers" (Comedy TV Movie 1x100 ') - Four men living in New York and facing the start of a new life as single fathers: there is always some kind of calamity, something going terribly wrong, their lives always seem to be spiraling out of control. And it is almost always their fault because they don ' t understand the rules of the game …

"Mothers know best" (Comedy TV Movie 1x100 ') - Gabry is a wealthy high society lady, Lelle is her masseuse; they have nothing in common, until one day Alessandro, Gabry's son and manager in an important airplane company, meets Rita and falls in love with her. Rita is a young and broke aspiring comic-strip writer, single parent and Lelle's daughter. The two mothers become allies to first prevent, then save the marriage of their children.

"Together … at last" (Comedy TV movie 1x100 ') - How about a different Christmas? This year under the Martelli family Christmas tree there will be only a few gifts, and one big good purpose: to be able to live in five under the same roof by optimizing the family budget.

"Witche's wish" (Comedy TV movie 1x100 ') - All girls wish for magic, but sometimes it can make life - and love - even more complicated … On her 30th birthday, Carlotta, a sweet and romantic wedding planner, is hit by lightning and later finds out that, magically, all her wishes come true …

"Dr. Clown" (Comedy TV Movie 1x100 ') - Dr. Laurenti is a good physician but he treats his patients as objects: he remembers the number of their beds but not their names. One day, after a serious accident, which leaves him unconscious, he wakes up with a laugh. From then on, every aspect of Laurenti's life will take a new and different path.
