Emma Masoni
Manager Global Acquisitions
Fox International Channels
United Kingdom
What are your acquisition strategies in 2009?
Fox international channels has grown hugely as a Group in the past 5 years in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We have built strong relationships with all US Studios and major independent distribution companies, and in these difficult financial climates we are working closely with these businesses as partners to ensure we maintain our market leading position in the various territories we work in.
What genres are you looking for?
Our channels are typically general entertainment channels targeted towards three primary audiences: male skewed aged 18-49 female skewed aged 18-49 and in the case of our FOX channel brand both! The common link between all our brands is that they aim to be independent, modern, witty, dynamic and smart, but above all they're built on the best content. We look for both edgy and sharp TV comedies and dramas or smart, glossy and intelligent ones plus some lifestyle content and Hollywood new trends guidelines.
What rights are you looking for?
Our rights requirements are constantly evolving as we develop new services in new media.
What products will be on demand on MIPTV 2009?
I believe the offer/demand will focus on both traditional TV content and to next generation content linked with the new technologies and future media trends.
