What are your acquisition strategies in 2009?
A big part of our success lies in our acquisitions strategy, which focuses on acquiring content that matches our Channel profile: VT4 targets 15-44 and Vijftv females 20-49. Therefore, we are looking for programming fit for a young and dynamic audience, the key demos for advertisers.
What genres are you looking for?
Genres that do well for us are very diverse: first of all, the biggest US series are hits on our channels too. "The Mentalist", "Grey's Anatomy", "Private Practice", "Criminal Minds" and of course the CSI franchise rate extremely well. On the factual side, our audience also appreciates shows like "Kitchen Nightmares" and "America's Top Model".
What rights are you looking for?
Apart from free to air rights, we notice a growing appetite for on demand product. Our aim is to offer our viewers many options on our VOD platform C-More by providing access to catch up and preview episodes of our most popular shows, such as The Mentalist.
What products will be on demand on MIPTV 2009?
Considering the challenging economic times we are currently facing, I believe that feel good programming will still be in great demand during 2009.
