What are your acquisition strategies for 2009?
This year, so far, has been very slow advertising wise, our only source of revenue is the ads, since in Pakistan, and we don't receive any subscription revenue. Considering this downturn in the economy, acquisitions are expected to be slow. Major emphasize would be on documentaries and current affairs programs.
What genres are you looking for?
Mostly documentaries and current affair programs, but we will also be looking out for youth based programming including movies and Award shows.
What rights are you looking for?
Cable, satellite, IPTV and mobile rights mostly for the region of Pakistan, but we also have our beam in the UK, the USA, and in the Middle East.
What products will be in demand during MIPTV 2009?
I presume current affair programs concerning the economy would be in high demand apart from this youth based programming such as movies and game shows. Informative vignettes for 2 to 3 minutes could also be in high demand. |
