What are your acquisition strategies in 2009?
Al Jazeera Children's Channel (JCC) is free to air Pan Arab edutainment channel. Through its unique concept and range of own produced educational programs, JCC opens up avenues for Arab Children to learn about different environments and cultures, as well as encourage them to learn and seek knowledge. The adaptation and the Arabic dubbing process are essential to guarantee the respect of the editorial charter of the channel. Otherwise, JCC began to build its multimedia platform in order to provide Arab children with variable New Media facilities.
What genres are you looking for?
We are looking for qualified acquisition children programs. All selected programs must comply with the objectives of edutainment content, accessibility, originality and diversity, based on the following genres:
- 2D/ 3D/ CGI Animation series, Animated Specials, Features film for kids (6 to 12 y).
- Documentary programs for Kids (Science, Technology, Nature, Wildlife, Discovery, knowledge, etc).
- Live action series and movies for children and family.
- Live performance programs for children.
What rights are you looking for?
We are looking for the exclusive TV rights in the Arabic language.
