What are your acquisition strategies?
COMEDY CENTRAL offers an extremely varied spectrum of comedy entertainment in Germany. Our programming mix not only relies on quality primetime sitcoms, but also places an emphasis on unusual, cutting-edge, comedy highlights. This special blend of long running series and top contemporary content is unique in Germany and provides our viewers with continuity and distributors with a program environment worthy of their content. Providing prominent broadcast slots and unique marketing opportunities makes us a valuable client for large licensing partners who want their international rollouts to make an impact.

What products are you looking for?
We are interested in any comedy series, show or movies which appeals to a broad audience. We are also interested in shows, which we can introduce to the German public – shows that have the potential to become audience favorites in the future. In addition, we are looking for shows which not only appeal to German viewers, but which can be broadcast throughout our Northern Cluster, including the Netherlands and Sweden.
Can you name the most successful titles that you acquired this year?
COMEDY CENTRAL is looking back on a very successful year. Our top starts in 2009 included new seasons of "‘til Death", and "Kenny vs. Spenny", as well as German premieres such as "The New Adventures of Old Christine" or the Australian Sketch-Comedy "Comedy Inc." Trusted favorites like "Frasier" and "Everybody loves Raymond"; all new to COMEDY CENTRAL in Germany, have rounded out the schedule with impressive performances. Also, « South Park » season 13 was a successful premiere program we've aired this year.
What products will be in demand during MIPCOM 2009?
Obviously, quality entertainment for a mainstream audience will command the highest prices.
