What are your acquisition strategies?
XDC has developed a pan-European distribution platform for Alternative Content (Operas, Concert, and Sport, Gaming …). We are interested in acquiring any kind of Alternative Content, and particularly live events (2D and 3D). XDC is managing a digital cinema screen network (today of about 550 screens, continuously growing – 1,000 screens under signature and to be deployed) in more than 11 European countries. XDC helps producers, filmmakers and right owners to promote their content to the exhibitors. XDC has an efficient digital content lab able to process the digital content (encoding, hard-disk duplication, key management, virtual delivery, logistics, and hotline, extranet …). We are currently working for several leading alternative content providers: Emerging Pictures, More2Screen, D&E, and Screenevent.

What products are you looking for?
Lyrical Operas, Sporting Events, Classical and Pop Concerts, Live Events, Gaming, Theatrical Stage, Productions, 3D Content, Documentaries/Biographies, Short Films.
Can you name the most successful titles that you acquired this year?
We are not a distributor therefore; we don ' t acquire the rights of the content. The business model for Alternative Content is different as for features films distributors. Some nice current titles are the live "Beethoven Experience", "the Burlesque Cabaret" with Immodesty Blaize and the "Antarctica Challenge" from Canada.
What products will be in demand during MIPCOM 2009?
Any product that could be screened in a cinema, attract a new audience and is different from what is usually screened in cinemas. Any content that could be an event in a cinema.
