Passion Momentum

By Elena Sunbeam

"Passion gives great momentum and can be the catalyst for great achievement."
The Lessons from Apprentice

Once, Donald Trump, an American billionaire, explained on American TV: "What isn't so simple is something that's frequently overlooked when talking about business: passion. I firmly believe you have to love what you are doing in order to achieve long-lasting success. Passion gives great momentum and can be the catalyst for great achievement."

His appearance in "The Apprentice" on NBC transformed the hit TV show into a cultural phenomenon and a priceless resource of inspiration for many entrepreneurs.

My life has carried me to different corners of the world, and only there my fortune smiled on me. I explored different countries and nations. I admired the unique magic of exotic Singapore, my blood ran cold in magnificent St.Petersburg, my heart skipped a beat in romantic Paris, I lost my head in Berlin, I plunged into the tough waters of challenges in vigilant New York, and I tried to seize my firebird by the tale in Las Vegas. But the most important thing for me was the opportunity to meet the most respected producers and unknown, but very talented people. And wherever I have been, I have always admired the creative endeavor of a producer, the power of the imagination of a scriptwriter, the energy of a director, and that passion that all of the members of a production team put into their production.

How to stay on top? What is the winning formula of top-rated programming? Why does the cultural phenomenon of mega-hit shows touch millions of people in all corners of the world? How to create an environment that inspires people to think, to come up with smart ideas, and to convert them into great ideas?

When I think about winning strategies in the television industry, Donald Trump's words are always a kind of prayer for me: "See yourself as victorious. We have a lot of chances and opportunities, and the timetable for achievement is often greater than we think it is. Don't ever shortchange yourself on what life has to offer. The only losers are people who never try. Failing means you tried something. That means you are capable of trying again, which means you are capable of success. It is very important to remain optimistic and to keep moving forward. But above all, you can never give up. Never, ever give up. Be tenacious. It's the best way to handle setbacks and the best way to achieve success. Believe in yourself in all circumstances".

Therefore, who succeeds?

Doesn't our utopian dream seem a little more attainable when we approach it Trump's way?

Whether it is a launch of a new product and a promotional campaign, or whether it is a simple unresolved conflict and undeclared love...

Can Trump's lesson help us to open a new page in our life?

When I launched Miracle Screenings in 2003, I was thinking about success and failure, and about equal chances for all the players of the audiovisual industry, and finally, I came up with an idea to make the audiovisual market available to any company regardless of its size, budget or location.

That's how Miracle Screenings was born.

During 2003 - 2010, Miracle Screenings Miracle Screenings issues were delivered from official press areas on Reed Midem trade shows MIPTV and MIPCOM, and also Cannes Market in Cannes, American Film Market in Santa Monica, Asian Television Forum in Singapore.
